Yvonne Denise “Black Feathers” Hagans Peters, age 45, of Flemingsburg passed away on Feb. 16, 2012, at the Hazard ARH. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Hagans and the late Maxine Elizabeth Richmond Hagans. Mrs. Peters was a teacher in her own home.
She is survived by her husband: Gerald Peters; 1 son: Joseph Austin Peters; 1 daughter: Adrianna Camille Peters; 4 sisters: Josephine Hagans, Sandra Hagans, Barbara Hagans & Nechalae (Noel) Williams; three brothers: Andy (Caro- lyn) Hagans, Elbert Hagans & Shelby (Sylvia) Hagans and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at the Maggard Funeral Home in Hazard. Burial followed in the Carr Fork Cemetery under the direction of the Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard.
