Breathitt man dies in motorcycle crash

A single vehicle collision has claimed the life of a 28-year-old Breathitt county man, according to police reports.

Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a report of the collision, which happened at 1960 Quicksand Road in Jackson, KY., at 9:10 p.m. on May 25, 2012. Timothy C. Roberts, age 28, of Jackson, lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway, striking a utility pole and guide wire. He was not wearing a helmet.

Breathitt County Tran-Star Ambulance transported the victim to the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson where he was later pronounced deceased by a representative of the Breathitt County Coroner’s Office. Trooper Eric Caldwell is in charge of the investigation.
