A single vehicle accident occurred around 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the Caney community of Knott County. According to Knott County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Caudill, Herbert Michael Slone, 46, of Winchester was operating a silver Ford F-150 truck on Hwy. 899 toward the Branham’s Creek Rd. junction when he lost control of his vehicle. The truck then struck a concrete barrier and guardrail in front of Reynolds Fork Rd. before overturning on its side.
