On Sunday, June 24, 2012 Kentucky State Police received a call of a possible missing person in the Jackson community of Breathitt County.
An investigation began and a search of the area attempting to locate Daryl Anthony Turner was conducted. The search was unsuccessful and the location of Turner was unknown.
On Tuesday, June 26, at approximately 12:50 p.m. Kentucky State Police received a call that someone had located a male subject deceased lying in the creek on Turners Creek in Breathitt County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Turner had been riding an ATV when he lost control, ran over an embankment and into the creek. Daryl Anthony Turner, age 32, of Jackson, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breathitt County Coroner and the body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. The investigation is continuing by Tpr. Jamie Gross.
