Knott school board passes draft budget

The Knott County Board of Education board members approved a draft budget January 10. “With $260,000 cut out of SEEK funding right now, it isn’t good,” said Finance Director Greg Conn. But the financial expert forecasted a cut and budgeted for a 5% cut in SEEK and the state cut 3%. “We came up with 2% better [from SEEK funding],” said Conn.
